His son Vaibhav Jha alias Golu, a witness in the murder case of Rajiv Kumar Jha alias Antu, the head priest of Kankali Temple located in Rambagh Fort of Darbhanga, operated under the Kameshwar Religious Trust, has been shot by criminals. The incident occurred when he was returning late in the evening from Sitamarhi from his uncle’s funeral, between Choraut and Pupri, when two criminals riding a bike surrounded him and started beating him. As the dispute escalated, the criminals took out pistols from their waists and started firing. While trying to escape, the bullet hit his right hand, due to which he was seriously injured. Hearing the commotion and seeing a crowd of local people gathering at the spot, the criminals ran away. In injured condition, he has been admitted to DMCH for treatment.

Let us tell you that in the early morning of October 2021, Kankali temple priest Rajeev Kumar Jha Antu was shot dead by criminals in the temple premises itself. The hearing of this case is currently going on in Darbhanga Civil Court, the testimony of which is still going on. Ayush Vaibhav is also a witness in this case, his testimony is yet to be given in the father’s murder case.
Ayush Vaibhav told that he was returning from the funeral of his uncle. While returning, two unknown criminals riding a bike surrounded him on the way and asked his name. On this, Ayush Vaibhav introduced himself, on hearing which the criminals pointed their pistol and asked why are you testifying in the priest’s murder, on which Ayush told the criminals who are you and what is the meaning of the case. On hearing this the criminal opened fire. It is said that Ayush Vaibhav hit his hand on the pistol during firing, due to which the bullet pierced his palm and came out. When people ran after hearing Ayush’s shout and the sound of firing, the criminal escaped. Local people informed the relatives, after which Ayush was hurriedly admitted to DMCH emergency.
Let us tell you that about one and a half years ago, Rajiv Jha, priest of Kankali temple and father of Ayush Vaibhav, was shot dead, whose case is going on in the court of District and Additional Sessions Judge Suman Kumar Diwakar of Darbhanga Civil Court. In this case, testimony of eight witnesses has been taken on behalf of the prosecution. Its decision is going to come soon. Ayush Vaibhav’s relative Parveen Kumar told that he was shot for this very reason. He has demanded security of AYUSH. It is said that criminals can attack again.
